Miami rent report shows slight decrease from last year

According to the latest national rent report by Zumper, Miami apartments have decreased slightly in price year over year.

The data may have placed Miami as the ninth most expensive market for median one-bedroom apartments, which is actually up a spot from a year ago, but it also shows a 3 percent decrease from $1,800 to $1,750 a month. For two-bedrooms, it was a slightly bigger drop, as rents dipped by 4 percent, from $2,500 to $2,400 a month.

It was a similar story in Fort Lauderdale, where one-bedrooms remained flat year over year ($1,500) and two-bedrooms dipped by 5 percent ($1,900).

Nationally, one bedroom median rent grew by 5 percent month over month to $1,233, while two-bedroom units remained flat at $1,392. San Francisco, New York City, and San Jose continue to round out the top three.
